Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Tisch School of the Arts offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to incoming students. Awards are made on the basis of academic excellence, demonstrated ability, professional promise, and financial need. Evaluations are made by the department you are applying to and by the NYU Office of Financial Aid. Tuition scholarships are funds applied towards the cost of tuition.

Candidates seeking admission who wish to be considered for financial assistance should check the financial aid question box in the application for admission.  By doing so it is assumed the applicant will file the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15*.  Successful applicants who file the FAFSA by the date indicated will be considered for need-based financial assistance in the form of loans and student employment through the federal government, including the Federal Work-Study Program and the various federal loan programs.
