The Tisch School of the Arts admits students to the following full-time programs:
Acting M.F.A.
Arts Politics, M.A.
Cinema Studies M.A., Ph.D.
Cinema Studies-M.A. program in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation.
Dance M.F.A.
Design for Stage and Film M.F.A.
Dramatic Writing M.F.A.
Graduate Film M.F.A.
Interactive Telecommunications M.P.S.
Musical Theatre Writing M.F.A.
Performance Studies M.A., Ph.D.
Applicants to the departments of Cinema Studies or Performance Studies apply to and are trained at the Tisch School of the Arts. However, New York University confers the degrees through the Graduate School of Arts and Science. For all programs, students are admitted in the fall semester only. (M.A. candidates in Performance Studies begin full-time enrollment in June; Ph.D. candidates in the program begin in September.)
